Supported Independent Living

Supported independent living is a wonderful support to help your participant live in their own home. It includes help or supervision with daily tasks, like personal care, cooking meals and housekeeping. It helps your participant to live as independently as possible, and in some cases, avoid specialist care homes or hospitals. Supported independent living is for people with higher support needs, who need a level of help at home at all times.

What is Supported Independent Living?

Supported Independent Living (or SIL) is an NDIS support. With SIL, people live alone in their own home, or with other people in a share house. We have staff available 24 hours, 7 days a week.

We provide assistance with daily living tasks such as:

  • Household tasks

  • Cooking

  • Personal care

  • Going to appointments with health professionals

  • Taking medication

At I’m Able Support Network, all of our support staff are passionate about understanding the needs of every person in our care, making sure that people receive the level of care and support that they deserve. We aim to always develop a thorough understanding of our participants needs, and continuously help to reduce the impact of any day-to-day hardships that they may endure.
